If you have Private Health Insurance Extras cover:
In most cases you will be able to claim part of the cost of your consultation at our clinic from your health fund. We use HICAPS so that you only need to pay the gap (check if your Health Fund is linked with HICAPS). If you want to know how much your health fund will cover, just call us and will help you.
Most, but not all Private Health fund providers, support telehealth online consultations. If you're not sure, contact your provider or just go ahead with an online consultation and attempt to claim your rebate. We use Zoom's encrypted and secure platform for telehealth consultations.
Phone consultations are also available, just tell us your preference when you make your booking.
Medicare Eating Disorder Plan (EDP) consultation
On appropriate referral from a medical practitioner (General Practitioner, Paediatrician or Psychiatrist) under a Eating Disorder Plan (EDP), patients will be able to access MBS rebates of $53.80 for up to a
maximum of 20 sessions with a dietitian in a 12 month period. These 20 sessions will be
inclusive of any sessions provided by a dietitian under the Chronic Disease Management plan (CDMP) in the same calendar year of the EDP being established. We do not bulk bill these Medicare visits. You pay the full consultation amount (as above) and we will send your claim to Medicare. Medicare will then rebate $53.80 into your bank account (usually rebated on the next working day). Please note, you cannot roll over unused visits into a new Care Agreement the following year.
For those living more than 15km away from us, you're eligible for have these sessions as online telehealth consultations through Zoom.

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) consultation
For people with a disability and a current NDIS plan, you can use your NDIS funding with Core Nutrition if you have chosen to Self Manage or Plan Manage funding for NDIS supports. Plan Manage means you use a 3rd party to handle all of your payments and claiming.
Dietetic support is claimable under "Improved Daily Living Skills" (Therapy) budget category. We do not charge the full NDIS recommended fee for therapy sessions, so that you can make the most of your funding budget.
Initial Consultation (90 mins - 75 mins client therapy + 15 mins time for practitioner notes & emails) - $253.00
Review Standard Consultation - $168.67 per hour pro rata of which 10-15 mins is for practitioner notes and emails. Usual review consultations are charged for 45 minutes at $126.50
From 30 March 2020, participants will be charged 100% of the agreed support price if they cancel a service at short notice. The proposed changes to the cancellation rules will assist providers maintain their staff now and into the future.

Medicare Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDMP)
Australians with a chronic health condition, may be eligible for a Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDMP), which can give them a fixed rebate for up to 5 visits with a Dietitian per calendar year. We do not bulk bill CDMP Medicare visits. You pay the full consultation amount (as above for Private) and we will send your claim to Medicare. Medicare will then rebate $53.80 into your bank account (usually rebated on the next working day). Please note, you cannot roll over unused visits into a new Care Agreement the following year. Ask your GP if you're eligible for a CDMP.

Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA)
If you are a DVA card holder and have a current referral from your GP, then depending on your card type you may be able to see our dietitian for free, 100% bulk billed, no gap to pay. To check your eligibility before seeing us, go to the DVA website or call DVA directly or give us a call.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic; initial, subsequent and extended consultations may be delivered to all eligible DVA clients
via telephone or videoconferencing attendance for the period 1 April to 30 September 2020. Telehealth services may only be provided if the full service can be delivered safely and in accordance with all relevant professional standards and clinical guidelines. Dietitian consultations with us are already geared for this and fully compliant.
Given that many eligible DVA clients meet the MBS vulnerability criteria, we encourage you to take up this option to keep you safe. Just tell us if you prefer phone or online video Teletherapy when you make your next booking.
Normal rules regarding treatment cycle and eligibility based on card type will remain.
Return to Work SA, Insurance Claims
We are preferred providers for Return to Work SA (workcover) and Insurance claims, including the Department of Correctional Services. Fees are pro-rata billed for consultations and reports. Ask us for more information.

payment is always upfront.
Face-to-face consultations we accept EFTPOS, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners Club and Cash.
Telehealth video and phone consultation payments are taken through our Australian hosted software which is
protected by 256-bit bank grade security and encryption. A unique link to your Payment Form (unique to your file) will be emailed to you to fill in to capture your credit card details. None of our Core Nutrition staff nor staff of our hosted software can access your personal finance details.
Invoices for nutritional supplements will have a one-time payment link protected by 256-bit bank grade security and encryption
unique to that invoice.
Can services or products of another client, be accidentally charged to my stored credit card?
No. Any service or product needs to be raised by an invoice first that is linked to your patient file and your current and open appointment. It cannot be accidentally linked to someone else's appointment or account.
Could I accidentally be charged twice for a service on my stored credit card?
No. Once online payment has been processed the "Pay Now" button actually disappears from our screen, so we cannot accidentally hit it more than once.
Who is responsible for paying for supplements if I'm getting funding or rebates?
You are responsible for all costs. NDIS, DVA, Medicare, Return to Work SA, Private Health Funds or other 3rd Parties do not cover (fully or partially) costs occured outside of consultations.
We ask you respect our practitioners' valuable time and energy by giving us notice by 4pm the previous day, if you need to cancel or reschedule. In the case of Monday appointments, by 4pm on the Friday.
Late notice or Non- attendance on the day of a scheduled appointment will also result in the full appointment fee. (even if you're on a care plan or other 3rd party claim). Reminder that Medicare, 3rd Party Insurance, Return to Work SA and DVA will not pay for missed appointments or late cancelled appointments. This is part of our terms and conditions of our Costs & Services. If you reschedule your appointment, we may waiver the missed appointment fee.
We send out SMS appointment reminders and expect you to read and reply to each SMS as soon as you receive it.
Why we do not Bulk Bill Medicare appointments?
We no longer bulk-bill these appointments (except DVA gold card holders) because we deliver a very high quality service and believe that patient care would be compromised by seeing you within a shorter appointment (20 minutes).
If your GP or Specialist told you that your visits with us will be free of charge, please inform them they are not free, and refer them to our website.
Online Telehealth Consultations FAQs
We offer HD video online consultations through Zoom. All video, instant messaging and file transfers are encrypted and your online meeting link is secured and unique. You do not need to create an account, just click on the link which is emailed to you at the time of your appointment.

When your Practitioner invites you to their meeting (email link), you can join as a participant without creating an account. Each meeting has a unique Meeting ID number.
